Aunt Puring was the brain child behind the reunion! For the first time, family gathered in San Diego from as far as Ohio. It was awesome to meet new faces and catch up with the familiar.
Some had been in San Diego for a couple of weeks prior to the official celebration; the festivities started with dinner Friday night at my Parent's (Rey & Nora Fernandez) home in Chula Vista. Saturday was a free day and Sunday we gathered at Vista Pacifica Park in south San Diego. At the park we had a water balloon fight, rode bikes, shot some hoops, played croquette, played cards, had plenty of Filipino food, shared stories, and celebrated Trinity's Birthday!
Before most left, some had a chance to discuss a future get together. So far, the plan is to meet back in San Diego in 2013! Thanks to all who made this gathering possible, especially Aunt Puring!
